Marc Thomas Kallweit is a versatile, third-generation photographer currently based in northern California. His specialties are in Journalism, Formal and Candid Portraiture, Legislative Portraiture, Editorial, Advertising, Fashion, Wedding, Food, Architectural and Event Photography.
Marc is the official portrait photographer of the California State Assembly, and also a major contributer to Sactown Magazine. Other clients include the Walt Disney Company, Wells Fargo, California State Senate, Westfield Galleria, Macy's West, Schools Financial Credit Union, Deon Taylor Enterprises, Comstock's Publishing, Pardee's Cameras, Ayers Corp, Senses Magazine, Jupiter 9 Productions (Los Angeles), Paragary's Restaurant Group, Highlander Films (Universal City), Rick Mahan of Waterboy and OneSpeed Restaurants.
Avidly taking photographs since age 12, Marc comes from a photographic background stemming from his grandfather Gustav, a portrait photographer in pre-war East Prussia, Germany. Marc's father Manfred, a photographer who moved to the United States in 1965 from Düsseldorf, has owned and operated Sacramento's Pardee's Cameras since 1977. Marc has gained valuable experience by working with some of the biggest names in the photo-industry. In February of 1999, Marc moved to New York City to work for Annie Leibovitz and helped complete "Women". Other photographers he's worked with include Patrick Demarchelier, Michael O'Neill, Norman Jean Roy, Christopher Micaud, William Abranowicz, Stephen Danelian, and Michael Grimm and Danielle Levitt.
